I have a large thick piece of glass that was given to me and I want to try to use it as a door for my shower whether it be a pivot or sliding door. Its roughly 3ft x 6ft. Anyone know of a place that sells just frames? If not, whats the cheapest place online to purchase a glass shower door?
The plastic pieces that keep the doors aligned cracked and i can’t seem to find anywhere online/in-stores to order them. I do not know the brand of the shower door anymore so i can’t contact the company. They are bypass glass shower doors.
We have a fiberglass tub insert and wanted to add a sliding glass shower door. I am afraid if we have to drill into the fiberglass insert that it could crack causing us a very expensive replacement. Is there a way to install the door without drilling but also be sturdy enough to withstand opening and closing?
I can’t find any shower units that are rubbed bronze(or even bronze). Should the door match the rest of the bathroom fixtures?
I mean the frame. They are all either silver, or brushed nickel…
I want to re-vamp my bathroom, and un-install the existing shower door to replace it with a rod and Shower Curtain. How would I go about removing this door, and preparing the shower so that I can put the curtain up?
What kind of cleaner fluid would I use to remove the calcium spots from a glass shower door? How would I apply it? And what kind of scrubbing pad would I use without scratching the glass?
I haven’t cleaned my glass shower door in 2 years and so much calcium has built up over time that I cannot even see through the glass.
I have a glass shower door, the glue I am using can hold the magnet that helps close the door to shower. The door magnet stays intact for about 2 weeks, then falls off. I can’t drill the glass to attach the magnet, the glass will shatter. Therefore I can only use glue, what type of glue should I buy?
My dad insists that if i close the shower door, the shower will not have to be cleaned anywhere near as often. Now, i always thought this was due to soap scum and mineral build-up… Is there any truth to what he is saying?
If so, is there any science behind it like the steam outside of the shower? if not, what is the science behind the build up?

Is it possible to build a ledge around a clawfoot tub thus making it possible to install a shower door? Removing the tub is going to tear up the bathroom and walls, and we don’t like the shower curtain enclosure that exists on it currently. Ideas?
We’re renting this house, and from what I know of its history it’s been a few years since anyone bothered to clean the glass on the shower door.

Comet Cleanser
Toothpaste
A razor blade
Nothing is working!!!! If I owned the home I’d just go buy another glass door lol … it’s a lovely shower and a beautiful home, but I really don’t want to invest any money into it, know what I mean?
Any suggestions would be great (well, other than to kick out the door and call the property owner lol), thanks!
